Dr. Jonathan Shaw
Erlanger Women’s Heath has added Jonathan Shaw, MD, to its skilled team of providers.
Dr. Shaw attended Queens University Belfast in Northern Ireland where he completed both his undergraduate and medical education. He went on to UK’s National Health Service where he worked as a junior doctor before coming to the United States for post-graduate training. He fulfilled his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cleveland Clinic and Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Oh.
Dr.
Shaw completed a urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery fellowship at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, which is associated with Brown Medical School. For the next two years, he and his family worked at a mission hospital in Kenya with Samaritan’s Purse before accepting a faculty position at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire.
His specialties include urogynecology, female pelvic medicine and pelvic reconstructive surgery.
According to Dr. Shaw, “The urogynecology division already has a caring team of dedicated staff, so I’m happy to join them and bring my combination of experience and restorative surgical interventions. It’s a great opportunity to join a highly regarded urogynecology division.”
