Longtime Volunteer With CHI Memorial Hospital

Carolyn Mills Robinson was born in Red Bank, Tennessee, on February 21, 1939, to Stark and Ona Mills. She was married and preceded in death by her loving husband Pat of 57 years. Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was a registered nurse graduating Fort Sanders School of Nursing in Knoxville, and retired from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as director of Student Health Services. She served as a life-time volunteer with CHI Memorial Hospital and CHI Memorial Foundation and was a member of the De Sales and Legacy Societies. Carolyn and Pat traveled the world visiting all seven continents with over 1,800 cruise sailing days earning a position in the Holland America Cruise Line Presidents Club.

Many people cared and loved her and a special thanks to Kevin, Alice, Pat and Phyllis. The staff at Baily Manor, Gabby of Hearth Hospice and St. Jude Catholic Church and Legion of Mary.

Services and interment will be on Friday, Sept. 6. Services will be held at the Hamilton Funeral Home at 4506 Hixon Pike, Hixson.

Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. with services from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The interment will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1 p.m. at 1200 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.

In lieu of flowers, consider making memorial contributions to either the St. Jude Catholic Church Journey Together Fund or the CHI Memorial Foundation.
