A Floating Reminder

  • Thursday, September 5, 2024

Campuses were raging with pro-Hamas activists angry over Biden’s support of Israel. Wanting to placate them, Joe ordered a floating pier placed off the coast of Gaza. It was supposed to facilitate humanitarian aid reaching those suffering in Gaza from the war Hamas caused. Just as he did with his plan for evacuating Afghanistan, it was against the advice of military advisers, but Joe went ahead with his plan (WashPo 8/27/24).

Over a two month period, the $230 million pier was operational for only 20 days. The DoD devoted 1,000 service members to its operation along with several ships. It put service members unnecessarily at risk with three injured, one critically (CNN 8/28/24). It exists today as a floating reminder of his debacles.

After nearly four years of Building Back Better, we are being expected to buy into the Harris/Walz slogan, “A New Way Forward.” She keeps saying we’re not going back. Does she mean when Trump was president or when Joe floated a useless pier off the coast of Gaza? Where is the forward Harris wants to take us?

WRCB reports that even the Dollar Store chain is seeing cutbacks as higher prices “squeeze” more Americans (9/4/24). So is going forward mean price controls on the Dollar Store while letting the Trump tax cuts expire?

It sounds like her version of Follow the Yellow Brick road but as it is with the Hoax Party, it’s…all…fake. Let the useless floating pier be a reminder of four years of Harris and Biden.
