Due to winter weather impacting the Scenic City throughout the early portion of the weekend, the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball game against VMI has been rescheduled one day later from Saturday afternoon to Sunday, January 12 at Noon ET inside McKenzie Arena. The game is still planned for an ESPN+ broadcast.

All tickets that were already purchased in advance are still honored.

Some fan information has changed for Sunday’s rescheduled game which includes:

· Ticket operations and entry gates will be limited to Gates 2 & 3 only.

· There will be no Mocs Club Hospitality including both pregame and halftime.

· All parking will be free and on a “first come, first served” basis.

We encourage all fans to remain cautious and safe in efforts to attend Sunday’s key SoCon matchup against the Keydets. Please stick to GoMocs.com and all social channels for the latest information and updates.

Chattanooga enters the contest 9-7 overall and 1-2 in SoCon play following a heart-breaking loss against UNC Greensboro on Thursday evening. Despite the Mocs shooting nearly 59% from the field, the Spartans Ronald Polite III canned a buzzer-beating 3-pointer moments after Honor Huff had tied the game with his own 3-pointer to keep UNCG unbeaten in conference play.

VMI stands at 6-10, 0-3 SoCon following an 81-68 loss to Samford on Thursday night. The Keydets managed to hang close with Mercer last Saturday in dropping a three-point decision at home, while the Mocs fell to the Bears by five in overtime in the conference opener in Macon on Jan. 1.

VMI SERIES HISTORY: VMI & UTC will meet for the 69th time in the all-time series with the Mocs leading the series by a sizable 52-16 count including a 25-5 mark at home. UTC is 46-14 all-time against VMI in SoCon regular season matchups and has claimed 10 of the last 12 meetings dating back to the 2018-19 campaign.

CURRENT MOCS LED LAST KEYDETS VICTORY: Having won five straight against VMI, the last time the Mocs lost to the Keydets was three years ago at McKenzie Arena thanks to some now-familiar faces. Current Chattanooga head coach Dan Earl was guiding the VMI program, and a trio of future Mocs - Honor Huff, Trey Bonham and Jake Stephens - were starters. Stephens was sidelined with an early ankle injury and was limited to only six points. However, Huff (22 points) and Bonham (20 points) gave UTC fans a preview of coming attractions in leading VMI to an 80-75 win.
