Robert “Bud” L. Neely, 86, of Georgetown, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at his home.

He was the son of the late Ralph and Martha Bettis Neely and was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jo Neely, son, Joey Lebron Neely, two brothers, Tommy Neely, Herbert “Little Bud” Neely, and sister, Patsy Brown.

Bud was an avid golfer, baseball and softball player. He retired after many years working as a carpenter in and around the Chattanooga area.

He was a member of Gamble Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two sons, Jeffrey Lee Neely (Valerie), of Ooltewah, Nick Edward Neely (Kristie), of Georgetown, Tn., three grandchildren, Dylan Neely (Emily Grace), Jack Neely (Bethaney), Bryce Neely, three great-grandchildren, Mackellan Neely, River Neely, Monroe Neely, sister, Kathleen Campbell, of Harrison, brother, John Neely, of Harrison, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Cornelius officiating. Burial will follow in Holder Memorial Cemetery (formerly, Gamble Road Baptist Church Cemetery) in Birchwood.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, and from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home.
