Valerie Ann Lewis
Valerie Ann Lewis, 76, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully and went to her heavenly home Tuesday, January 14, 2025 in a local health care facility.
She was born on May 1, 1948, in Chattanooga to the late Arlene and William H. Lewis, Jr.
Valerie was a graduate of Brainerd High School. Her special interests were being a cheerleader for the Chattanooga Big Wheels Basketball Team. She was active with Easterseals and was named as the Cerebral Palsy Poster Child. She was an avid traveler, enjoyed needlepoint, and loved to play Bingo. Valerie was a member of St. Elmo Church of Christ and Red Bank Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, her brother-in-law, Steve May and nephew, Casey May preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sisters, Kim May of Sale Creek, TN and Saundra (Jimmy Fekete) Ball of Knoxville, TN; nephews, Jason Brian Ball of Knoxville, TN and Zachery (Felicia) May of Dayton, TN; great-nieces and nephews, Ethan Ball, Kylynn May, Abagail Champion, Kai Ball, Kylie Champion, Chance May, Madison May, Sofia Ball, Mason May and Hudson Ball; and special longtime friend, Anita Stephens of East Ridge, TN.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 19, from 2-6 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 20, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, in the North Chapel with Minister Tommy Stone officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with Brian Ball, Zachery May, Kylynn May, Eric Holloway, and Ben Lewis serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Life Care of Red Bank and Hearth Hospice for their loving care of Valerie.
