The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team opened the 2025 spring season with a pair of 7-0 defeats at perennial SEC and national power No. 11 Mississippi State on Friday afternoon inside the Rula Tennis Pavillion in Starkville, Miss.
Chattanooga (0-2) battled with tightly contested matches across both singles and doubles action in the two season-opening duals against No. 11 Mississippi State (3-0). The Bulldogs, who advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 last season, featured numerous nationally ranked competitors including the ninth-ranked doubles tandem of Petar Jovanovic and B.
Sanchez Martinez.

Chattanooga will remain on the road for its third and fourth matches of the year with a Friday/Saturday weekend in Atlanta against Georgia State and South Carolina State.
