UTC Tennis Mocs Lose 7-0 At UNC Asheville

  • Monday, January 20, 2025
The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team opened the 2025 season with a 7-0 road loss at UNC Asheville in non-conference action on Sunday evening in Asheville, N.C.

In the season opener for both teams, Chattanooga (0-1) featured a ton of bright spots in its lineup despite the final result to an extremely talented UNC Asheville (1-0) squad. The Mocs were forced to default the bottom two positions in its singles lineup against a UNCA program who reached the NCAA Tournament in 2024 via a Big South Tournament and regular season title.

Chattanooga will open its home slate tomorrow, Monday, January 20, with a 2 p.m.
matchup against NCAA Division II member and local opponent Lee University. The match will be held at the Strang-Voges Tennis Center on the campus of the McCallie School. Live stats will be available and can be found on the schedule page.
