Volunteers Needed Jan. 25 To Retire Wreaths At Chattanooga National Cemetery

  • Monday, January 20, 2025
Volunteers are needed this Saturday at 8:30 a.m. to remove wreaths placed on veterans' graves at the Chattanooga National Cemetery that will be retired. No registration is required. Volunteers may park at the cemetery on the right side along the curbing (not on the grass).

"For so many reasons, over the past month, the most visited location in Chattanooga has been Chattanooga National Cemetery and the wreaths placed on the graves were to 'Remember and Honor' these veterans laid to rest at the cemetery.
It’s now time to retire these wreaths. So many 'thanks' to all those that donated financially, donated their time or donated their services and can proudly state, 'That on Dec. 14, 2024, we remembered that the freedoms that we have today did not come without a price," said Captain Mickey McCamish, U. S. Navy (Retired), Wreaths across Chattanooga.
