Mocs Tennis Hosts Tennessee Tech, Gardner-Webb

 The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team will continue their 2025 campaign with a pair of home matches this weekend starting with a Friday tilt against Tennessee Tech before finishing with a match on Sunday against Gardner-Webb.
 
Friday's match against Tennessee Tech is slated for a 6 p.m. start and will be held at the Strang-Voges Tennis Center on the campus of the McCallie School in Chattanooga. The contest against Gardner-Webb begins at 1 p.m. Sunday and will be played outdoors at the UTC Tennis Center on Campus.

Chattanooga is coming into the weekend 0-4 after two losses to Georgia State and South Carolina State.
The 4-1 loss to Georgia State was tightly contested, and Chattanooga narrowly lost the doubles point when No. 1 doubles pair Jakup Jupa and Gabriel Castillo lost in a tiebreak. The Mocs ended the weekend with a 4-0 loss to South Carolina State.
 
Tennessee Tech finished 2024 with a 4-13 overall record and posted a 3-2 record in conference play. So far in 2025, they are 1-3 and come into this weekend off a 6-1 win against Austin Peay. The Mocs fell to the Golden Eagles 4-3 the last time the two teams met on March 31, 2022.
 
Garder-Webb is coming into this weekend off a 6-1 win against Northern Florida. 2024 saw them go 20-4 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They advanced to the Big South Tournament final, where they lost to UNC Asheville 4-1. Garder-Webb won 7-0 last time they played Chattanooga on March 3, 2024.
 
Chattanooga is set to continue their homestand with a Saturday (February 8) matchup against Eastern Kentucky. The match will be held in Chattanooga, Tenn. Stick to GoMocs.com for all match links, if available.
