Betsy Bird Elected President Of The Professional Photographers Of East Tennessee

The Professional Photographers of East Tennessee announces the election of Betsy Bird, Cr. Photog, CPP, as president for the upcoming term. 

"Now serving her third year on the PPETN board of directors, Betsy brings a wealth of expertise, creative vision and a deep commitment to elevating the photography community in East Tennessee," officials said. "Ms. Bird is the creative force behind Ride the Sky Equine Photography, where she specializes in capturing horse and equestrian images.
A former equestrian turned award-winning photographer, she is renowned for her storytelling ability and her profound connection with horses, which enables her to create emotive, lasting images. Her role as a sought-after mentor, public speaker, and co-author of Equine & Equestrian Photography Poses that Sell: The Ultimate Guide to Posing Horses & Humans, has further solidified her status as a guiding force within the photography community. Her approachable demeanor and sharp business acumen have made her a trusted mentor for emerging talent, while her insightful talks on horse photography, marketing and productivity continue to inspire audiences."

Ride the Sky Equine Photography is based in Chattanooga.

In addition to her leadership at PPETN, Ms. Bird serves on the board of directors for the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association, and is one of three photographers representing Tennessee on the Professional Photographers of America Council. 

"I am honored to be elected president of PPETN and to continue serving our incredible photography community," said Ms. Bird. "It has been my honor to serve with the amazing photographers on our PPETN board of directors.
