Elderly Resident Scammed Out Of $200,000 - And Other Collegedale Police Calls

Police responded to a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Lee Highway and Pine Hill Road. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and one driver was transported to a local hospital. 

A Collegedale fugitive was transported from the Bradley County Jail to the Hamilton County Jail on bond revocation warrants for failure to appear and driving on a revoked license. 

A rear end collision was reported in the 5600 block of Little Debbie Parkway. Minor damage was noted on both vehicles. 

Another rear end collision was reported at the intersection of Old Lee Highway and Little Debbie Parkway. 

Officers assisted a broken down motorist in the 5900 block of Main Street. 

An elderly resident in the 9600 block of Collier Place reported that they had been scammed out of $200,000. 

A rear end collision was reported in the 4700 block of University Drive. 

An individual in the 5600 block of Tyler Trail reported a civil matter involving a vehicle that had been sold to another party. They were advised that the issues were not a criminal matter. 

An officer assisted an individual in the 9600 block of Leyland Drive by telling them the process of how to obtain a no contact order.

A black Honda Accord was found abandoned in the construction zone in the 10200 block of Apison Pike. The vehicle was tagged with a 72 hour tow notice. 

An individual stole another person’s wallet at the Walmart after it had been dropped in the store.  

Police spoke to an unruly juvenile at City Hall after they refused to give their guardian a multi tool in their possession. The child gave police the multi tool and it was turned over to their guardian.

Police took an alleged scam report from a resident in the 5600 block of Edgmon Road after the resident had attempted to purchase a massage from someone they had met on TikTok using a gift card.

Police assisted the fire department in the Grindstone Estates neighborhood with lifting an elderly individual who had fallen.

Night shift officers doing a business check in the 4900 block of LaCollina Way found an unlocked door. The building was checked and the door was secured. 

Police responded to a domestic disorder in the 10000 block of Moore Road between a mother, daughter and the daughter’s boyfriend. The situation was resolved and a referral was made to the Department of Children Services. 

A hit and run of a parked car in the Walmart parking lot was reported. 

A Collegedale fugitive was found at the Hamilton County Jail on unrelated charges.
