Tennessee Chamber Of Commerce Announces New Board Chair And Appointments

The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry announces the appointment of Maria Sheffield as Chair of its 2025 Board of Directors. The Chamber’s Board serves as the organization’s governing body, providing strategic leadership to guide the Chamber’s operations, legislative priorities and policy agenda.

Ms. Sheffield, president of Caterpillar Financial Insurance Services Corporation, expressed her enthusiasm for the role: “I am honored to serve as chair of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Chamber in 2025. I look forward to collaborating with Chamber staff, my fellow Board members, and policymakers to ensure Tennessee continues to be a premier destination for businesses and economic prosperity.”

The Tennessee Chamber Board is comprised of senior leaders and executives from a broad range of industries, representing the companies and sectors that drive the state’s economy.

Josh Brown, president and CEO of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Ms. Sheffield’s leadership: “Maria’s extensive experience in both the private sector and public service makes her uniquely suited to lead our Board.
