The Collegiate Conference of the South released its Men's Golf weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon and Covenant's Ayden Cordell named Rookie of the Week.
This is the second time the freshman has won this honor after receiving it on March 13th after a strong performance at the Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate.
The honor goes to Cordell this go around after another good showing at the Brad Rose Collegiate at Willow Creek Golf Club in Knoxville. With rounds of 75 and 74, Cordell placed tied-19th out of 76 golfers with a score of seven-over par.
Cordell helped lead Covenant to a fifth-place finish out of 14 schools.
The Scots return to the links on March 31st at the Ooltewah Club for the Cleveland State Invitational.
