I have an adult child who is a teacher. This is unbelievable. According to an article on NewsChannel 9 , the HCDE superintendent gets a 13 percent raise. And upper level administrators get a 2.40 percent raise.
Please show me where the teachers get at least a 2.40 percent raise.
How can the Central Office have the gall to accept such an increase while teachers are struggling with having second jobs and spending their summers working part time to make ends meet? What do the Central Office staff purchase out of their own pocket for the classrooms across the school district?
Teachers routinely spend more than $100 per year for their kids (some do this per semester) which comes out of their own pocket.
So there is no money for raises for teachers? The very ones who do the day to day, boots on the ground work get no cost of living raise?
I don't get it. Make it make sense.
