Tennessee women's basketball head coach Kim Caldwell confirmed that she has received an Institutional Financial Aid Agreement (IFAA) from transfer Nya Robertson, a 2025 All-ACC performer while at SMU.

A 5-foot-7 guard, Robertson started 25 of 27 games last season for the Mustangs and hit an impressive 62 three-pointers and 111 free throws while averaging a team-leading 18.5 points per game.
She is a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and a product of Boswell High School who will be a senior during the 2025-26 campaign.

"We are excited about Nya," Caldwell said. "She is going to be a perfect fit for us, because she can play at our speed and be a three-level scorer. She flies around on defense, pushes pace and can help us right away."

Robertson, who earned All-ACC Second Team acclaim in her only season at SMU, led her team in points (499), three-pointers (62) and free throws (111), and ranked second in assists (46) and steals (31). The point total and number of threes made ranked seventh in Mustang history.

Leading her squad in scoring in 19 games, Robertson tallied 20 points or more in 12 contests and reached double figures on 25 occasions. She also recorded eight games with three or more assists and had 12 contests where she finished with three or more three-pointers made.

Her 76.6 percentage at the charity stripe (111-145) was a career best, with her total of makes ranking eighth in the ACC a year ago. Her scoring average finished fourth in the ACC, while her 2.3 three-pointers per game stood sixth among league players.

Robertson's ability to excel at the Power 4 level was underscored when she carded a career-high 32 points versus Louisville on Feb. 6. She finished with a perfect 13-of-13 effort from the free-throw line and connected on eight of 16 field goal attempts, including 3-of-6 accuracy from long range.

Prior to SMU, Robertson spent two seasons at George Washington, where she earned All Atlantic-10 Third Team accolades as a sophomore in 2023-24 and A-10 Sixth Woman of the Year and A-10 All-Rookie Team honors in 2022-23. She put up 15.3 ppg., 2.5 rpg. and 1.7 apg. while starting 24 of 56 contests from 2022-24 at the Washington, D.C., school and notched shooting percentages of 36.5 from the field, 34.2 from the arc and 75.1 from the free-throw line.

As a sophomore, Robertson started 23 of 28 games and averaged 16.2 ppg., 2.8 rpg. and 1.4 apg. She hit a career-most 70 treys and 112 free throws and ranked fourth in the A-10 in scoring. Her total of threes was eighth-best in GWU history and her eight deep balls vs. American on Nov. 6 remain a career best.

As a freshman, Robertson appeared in 28 games and earned one start. She averaged a team-high 14.4 ppg. along with 2.3 rpg. and 2.0 apg. and knocked down 68 treys. Her scoring average rated eighth-best in the A-10, and her 68 triples stood third among freshmen nationally and 10th-most in a single season in program history.
