The Board of Trustees of Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority has made the decision to begin winding down its legacy Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority Pension Retirement Plan and Trust. The Plan will officially cease operations as of Dec. 31.
Officials said, "The plan will be fully funded, and all participants will receive 100 percent of the benefits they have earned.
"Participants have been notified of this change. Today, with Erlanger, the Authority is working closely with individuals to provide information, resources and support to help them understand their options and choose the method of receiving their benefits that best supports their long-term financial goals.
"This transition reflects a broader effort by Erlanger to modernize its retirement plan offerings to better align with and meet the needs of today’s workforce.
It allows Erlanger to maintain its strong commitment to employee financial well-being while continuing to offer competitive, flexible retirement plans to help team members save for the future."
