Jordan, Gregory LaMar

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Staff Sergeant Gregory LaMar Jordan, E-5, USAF on April 24, 2025. Greg fought a courageous battle with cancer, facing every challenge with strength and determination. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 8, 1965, Greg was the son of Harley B. and Sandra D. Jordan. He graduated from Hixson High School in 1983 and went on to serve proudly in the United States Air Force, active, to later serve in the Air National Guard. While serving, Greg met and married the love of his life, Manuela “Manni” Beckwith. Together they built a life filled with adventure and love. After living in California, the family eventually settled in Knoxville. Where he graduated from Pellissippi State Technical Community College.

Greg was a devoted husband, father, and son. He found his greatest joy in his family and was especially proud of his two children, Katrina (Alex) Stoner and Eric Jordan. He and Manni shared a passion for the outdoors, enjoying countless camping, hiking, biking, and kayaking trips—and had recently begun exploring Jeeping adventures. A proud University of Tennessee Volunteers fan, Greg never missed a chance to cheer on the Vols—Go Big Orange!. Greg was a true animal lover and loved his pets both past and present.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Ben Jordan; infant brother, Harley Steven Jordan; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Manni Jordan; his daughter Katrina (Alex) Stoner; his son Eric Jordan; his mother, Sandra D. Jordan; and his brothers Mark (Teresa) Jordan and Barry (Andrea) Jordan. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews—Wesley and Rachel Jordan, Tyler (Jessica) Jordan, Caleb Jordan, and Allyson and Ethan Vice—as well as great-nephews Aiden, Oliver, and Jasper Jordan. Loving aunts and several special cousins.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the medical staff at UT Medical Center in Knoxville for their compassionate care and support during Greg’s illness.

A graveside service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, May 5, at 1 p.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the home of Greg’s mother in Soddy Daisy.
