The Soddy, Daisy and Montlake Historical Association will begin its eighth season this Friday and Saturday with the Good Old Days Museum. The museum is at the corner of Wall and Depot Streets in the 104-year-old Soddy Banking Company building. The hours are the usual 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

There are some new displays and some of the old.

If you have old Soddy, Daisy, Mowbray, Montlake or Flattop Mountain photos, please bring them along. Organizers enjoy looking at old local photos. If you have a photo of a man or woman, from the same areas who served in World War II, organizers request a photo of this person and they will be added to the already collection of 103 men and two women. They are also interested in photos of locals in any war and any old coal mining relics or photos from the area. The museum has a printer and can make photos.

Something new the museum is trying is attaching QR Codes to some of the relics and photos. Hopefully by doing this, guests will get a better understanding of the subject.

For more information about the museum, call 718-0528.
