The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks announces the historic induction of Reeda Hall as the first female state president.
Officials said, "This marks a significant milestone in the organization's rich history of service and leadership. Reeda, a dedicated Elk since her initiation on Sept. 17, 1999 at the Chattanooga Elk Lodge No. 91, has consistently demonstrated her
commitment to the principles of charity, justice, brotherly love and fidelity."
Ms. Hall’s journey in the Elks began with immediate engagement, taking on the role of chaplain shortly after her initiation.
Over the years, she has held numerous leadership positions, including serving as exalted ruler in 2006-2007, coinciding with the tenure of the Honorable Jack Frost as grand exalted ruler. Her experience also includes a nine-year tenure as treasurer and her current role as lodge secretary, which she has held since 2021.
Beyond her lodge, Ms. Hall has been an active contributor at the state level, serving on various committees such as Accident Prevention, New Lodge, and Youth Activities. She played a key role in fundraising efforts for Grand Exalted Ruler Randy Shook and served as chairman of the Demonstration Committee. Her leadership continued as vice president elect for the East District in 2015 and vice president for the East District in 2016. She further distinguished herself as esquire to the district deputy grand exalted ruler in 2017 and district deputy to the grand exalted ruler in 2018.
"Reeda Hall’s election as Tennessee state president is a testament to her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in advancing the mission of the Elks," officials said. "Her historic achievement paves the way for future generations of female leaders within the organization."
"It is an honor and a privilege to serve as state president of such a distinguished organization," said Ms. Hall. "I am committed to continuing our mission of serving communities, supporting youth programs and upholding the values that the Elks stand for."
"The Elks organization looks forward to a promising year under her leadership, filled with initiatives aimed at strengthening community engagement and fostering inclusivity within the order," officials said.
