Yulanda Rogers, 85, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at The Lantern at Morning Pointe.

Yulanda graduated from Tyner High School, Class of 1957. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Chattanooga and worked as an elementary P.E. teacher. Later she became a homemaker, dedicating her life to raising her family. She was a longtime member of Bayside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William “Bill” C. Rogers and her brother Marvin Seritt.

Yulanda is survived by her three children, Kay (Rusty) Davis, Karla Magnes, and Brian (Su) Rogers; grandchildren, Jason Davis, Chance Magnes, Addison Magnes, Arisa Rogers, and Will Rogers; and her sister-in-law Fran Seritt.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Yulanda’s memory to the Dementia Society or American Cancer Society.
