Local Students Receive College Honors

Berry College announces The Dean's List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester, which include five local students. The students include Skye Albee, Kaylee Crook, Mia Cutler, Mackenzie Grisar and Ashley Young, all of Chattanooga.

Luke Colvin of Chattanooga was named to the dean's list at Olivet Nazarene University during the spring 2025 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

Madison Mikeska of Chattanooga graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin in spring 2025. Ms. Mikeska was one of more than 9,000 students who received an undergraduate, master's or doctoral degree.

Philip and Marilyn Mathis Scholarships were presented to three Middle Tennessee State University Honors students this year, including Emily Callison, a biochemistry major, from Chattanooga.

Madesen C'erra Holman of Chattanooga has been named to the Dean's List at Jacksonville State University for outstanding academic performance over the Spring 2025 semester.

Christopher Barnett of Chattanooga graduated from Bob Jones University with a BS in criminal justice.

Jackson Shutters of Chattanooga has been named to the President's Honor Roll at the University of North Georgia for achieving a 4.0 grade point average during spring 2025.
