The Daughters of the American Revolution Moccasin Bend Chapter met at the Red Bank Church of Christ for their May meeting.
The speaker for the meeting was Pat Guffey, a retired educator and Rhea County historian. She has been an active member of the Rhea County Historical Society and has a weekly column in the Herald-News titled “Pieces from the Past.” She spoke to the Moccasin Bend Chapter about the history of Rhea County.
A new member, Jackie Ford, was inducted into the chapter at the meeting.
Following the meeting and lunch, the chapter prepared toiletry bags for the Family Justice Center.
