Two Glocks Stolen - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

25-005491 – 323 Camp Jordan Parkway - Camp Jordan Arena – Theft
Police responded to the gun show for a theft. According to a vendor, an unknown suspect(s) stole two Glocks from their table. At the time of the call, video surveillance could not be accessed, and the vendor did not have any suspect information. One of the firearms was entered into NCIC and charges are pending upon the identification of the suspect(s).

25-005439-6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Disorder
Police responded to the inn on a report of a disorder.
Officers spoke with a man who informed police he and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation over personal property. She had left the area prior to officers’ arrival. He was to call police in if she returns and continued causing an issue.

25-005441 – 700 BLK Lanoir Street – Watch List
The caller requested her home be placed on watch list after being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend in Hixson on May 22. She alleged she showed up at a residence in Hixson he was at which ended up being his marital home with his wife. An assault ensued where her hand was broken. Watch List #25-000013

25-005444-1300 BLK St Thomas Street- Mentally Disturbed
Police were dispatched to the listed location to check the welfare of a man who had called into Hamilton County Dispatch rambling and not speaking coherently. Officers spoke with the man at his apartment. He told officers he was paranoid from his neighbors walking up and down the street as he thought they were gossiping about him. He was asked to go back into his apartment and keep to himself.

25-005447 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person/Criminal Trespass
A man was criminally trespassed from this location when he was observed sleeping on the property after tiring himself from a game of Pokemon Go. He left the area without issue or having caught them all.

25-005448- 4400 BLK Ringgold Road- Forgery
Police were called to the market about a forgery for a returned check from May 20. The suspect in question had produced two fraudulent checks at this location and in turn, two warrants for forgery will be issued for him.

25-005452 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Panic Alarm
Police responded after a panic alarm was activated. Staff reported the alarm was accidental.

25-005457- 4400 BLK Ringgold Road- Property Damage
Police were called about a neighboring business allowing a customer to do a burnout with their motorcycle in front of the neighboring store. An officer talked to the property owner, who declined to press charges due to the customer paying to repave the damage that was caused.

Night Shift May 23: D Squad

25-005474 – 3900 BLK Wiley Avenue – Civil Matter
A 25-year-old male called the police after his parents locked him out of their house with his mother demanding an apology before he could come inside. Police advised he should seek council from a civil attorney over the matter.

25-005476 – 3900 BLK Wiley Avenue – Vandalism
After being locked out of his home by his parents, the subject from the previous call did not call an attorney but did intentionally ram his mother’s minivan with his car causing over a thousand dollars in damages. Warrants for Vandalism over $1000.00 and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage are being sought.

25-005479-800 BLK Belvoir Ave-MVC-no injuries
Following a crash, a man was taken into custody for driving under the influence, driving without a license, and open container law.

25-005481-601 Justice Way-Warrant service
A woman was served two Alias Capias warrants while in custody at the jail. Those warrants are for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

25-005486- 5500 BLK Ringgold Road- Trespass
A man was trespassed from this location at the manager's request. See proximity restriction #25-000100.

25-005492 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder
A man was arrested at the hotel for Public Intoxication and Criminal Trespassing. According to the manager of the business, a male subject attempted to assault him after he told him he had missed check out time and to stop playing his loud music in his room. The manager stated the subject refused the request and became irate, at which time he contacted police to have him removed from the property and trespassed. Officers attempted to inform the subject of the trespass and that he needed to gather his belongings and vacate the property, but he refused. After several advisories to the subject about needing to vacate the property, him refusing, and his level of intoxication he was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and Criminal Trespass. Initially, a female party with the subject, stated his name, however, he refused to provide any other information and was booked as “John Doe”. After being booked into the Hamilton County Jail the identity was later confirmed as a bail bondsman from Virginia.

25-005496- 4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Forgery
Police were called about a check returning as altered/ fraudulent. It was discovered that this was the same suspect from yesterday's forgery was at the business. Another warrant for forgery will be sought against Thompson.

25-005497 - 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service
A man was served with a forfeiture capias for Driving on Revoked License for DUI following a traffic stop by Hamilton County.

25-005500- 5401 Ringgold Road - Fraud
Police responded to 2200 BLK of Hamilton Place Blvd to assist Chattanooga officers with a reported kidnapping and assault that started in Chattanooga and occurred at the above address in East Ridge. The party stated she and another woman picked up a man known as “Chicken” and a third female, the alleged, from the soup kitchen and drove them to the East Ridge address. She claimed she tried to open a bank account and when unsuccessful she was forced to stay in the vehicle and travel to the bank in Chattanooga to open a bank account under threat of a knife; however, no weapon was found. “Chicken” exited the vehicle in East Ridge and did not return. His identity is unknown. The allegations were determined to be unfounded, and no charges are pending.

25-005504- 200 BLK Eads Street– Theft/Fraud
Police responded to the address to take a report of theft and fraud. The caller reported that a new caregiver allegedly stole a jewelry box containing Navy memorabilia belonging to her husband, along with several pieces of jewelry valued at approximately $450. She also stated her PayPal account was compromised, resulting in a $257.70 transfer to an unknown debit card, which has since been refunded. A pending $500 transfer from her bank to PayPal, initiated by an unknown party, is under review, and her bank has been notified.

25-005509 – 4000 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Assist Other Agency
A man was detained for federal indictment warrants following a traffic stop for a registration violation. Fossett was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-005506 – 100 BLK Margareta Lane – Domestic Assault
A man and his girlfriend were arrested for assaulting each other during an argument. Both parties were transported to Hamilton County Jail and charged with Domestic Assault.

25-005517 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Miscellaneous
A concerned father of ten visited the police department requesting information about child neglect and endangerment regarding his juvenile son after witnessing his mother driving the car erratically with the child in the vehicle.

25-005512-5500 BLK Ringgold Rd- Burglary Alarm
Police responded to an alarm at a business. The building appeared to be secured with signs of entry.

25-005503-4214 Ringgold Road-Warrant Service
Police executed a forfeiture capias warrant on a woman for driving on a revoked, suspended, or cancelled license.

25-005520 – 4214 Ringgold Road– Warrant Service
A hold request was sent to the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office after Fort Oglethorpe Police encountered a woman who had two Forfeiture Capias warrants through East Ridge. The original charges were criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia. The hold request and the warrants were left on the warrant officer’s desk.

25-005531- 4214 Ringgold Road- Miscellaneous Report
The East Ridge Fire Department requested a report after they disassembled parts on a car to free a cat from the engine bay of a vehicle.

25-005535-100 BLK Arnold Drive-Suspicious Activity/Arrest
Police were dispatched to the listed address for an individual who had been trespassed returning to the property, ringing the doorbell, and walking around the yard. He was taken into custody for criminal trespassing and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.

25-005540- 1300 BLK St Thomas Street- Check Well-being
The consummate caller stated that “multiple gay officers in the East Ridge Police Department were out to get him”, and his dead mother had possibly called a hit on him. Police responded and found he and his residence to be in no danger.

25-005542-3300 BLK Navajo Drive - Civil Matter
Police advised a caller to contact with a civil attorney regarding setting up a parenting plan through the Hamilton County Juvenile Court system.

25-005547 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person / Field Interview 25-00081
A man uttered something about Bloods and Crips when confronted by a business owner at complex. Police identified him, performed a Field Interview, and determined he was a confused mental health consumer with a history of recent mental health related interactions with CPD. Officers decided he was non-threatening and advised him not to return to Eastridge Commons.

25-005550-600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway-Intoxicated Person
Police received a call to the listed address for a party harassing other patrons at the business. The party then became aggressive toward the manager. Officers located the male. A brief foot pursuit ensued, the party was caught, and taken into custody. He was transported to the Hamilton County jail without incident.

25-005562 – 700 BLK Summit Avenue – Harassment
Police were called to speak with a woman after her ex-boyfriend showed up at her apartment. She said he has remained hidden in the backseat of the white Lincoln SUV while an unknown female knocked on her door. She is planning to file for an order of protection. Ray requested her residence be added to the watchlist.

25-005564 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road - Drug Overdose
Police responded to the business on a report a man in the bathroom was unconscious from narcotics use. Officers met the subject in front of the fountain drink dispenser. He said he stood up too fast after using the restroom and fainted. He denied medical treatment, was checked for warrants, and sent on his way.

25-005560-5300 BLK Rose St.- Warrant Service
Police served a warrant at this address. The subject was taken into custody on a Harassment warrant and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-005557 – 1300 BLK San Hsi Drive – Aggravated Burglary/Theft of Property
The caller reported that her juvenile daughter’s ex-boyfriend broke into their residence the night prior while she was away and stole her daughter’s iPhone. Officers found no signs of forced entry, and the juvenile was unsuccessful in eliciting the phone’s location. Her reason for believing that the suspect entered the home without her permission was that she found his hat in her daughter’s bed, and her daughter was adamant that she did not invited the party over. Pending further proof that a crime occurred, the reporting party wished to prosecute for Aggravated Burglary and Theft of Property.

Night Shift May 26: C Squad

25-005586 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Severe Weather Response
Police monitored road conditions and water levels during a severe weather event. A torrential downpour left several standing pools of water on Ringgold Road and other major thoroughfares. By sunrise, most of the standing water had drained off the roadways and did not present a significant hazard. The 6500 block of Slater Road was the only roadway left with hazardous water levels.

25-005573 – 1500 BLK Joshua Drive – Disorder with a Weapon
A man and two female juveniles were involved in a disorder near the man’s residence. He had yelled at the juveniles when he observed them walking in his neighborhood. The juveniles reported the man pointed a firearm at them during the argument. Police responded to the location but could determine if a handgun had been used due to conflicting details, distance, and low light visibility. The juveniles’ guardian responded to the scene and took the females home.

25-005574 – 300 BLK View Drive– Domestic Disorder
Police responded to an unknown trouble complaint at this address. Inside the residence, officers found a couple in a heated argument. After speaking with Police, both individuals agreed to separate for the evening.

25-005575 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Auto Burglary
Police responded to this location for an Automobile Burglary. The reporting party stated that his back passenger window was shattered, and the inside was rummaged through. The reporting party stated he found no items missing. Police forwarded the incident to the Criminal Investigation Division for further investigation.

25-005576 – 300 BLK E View Drive – Assist Citizen –
A juvenile approached Police as they completed a domestic disorder investigation. The juvenile stated the light on his moped stopped working and he was concerned about the low light conditions and wet weather. Police contacted the juvenile’s parents, then assisted him in getting back to his home in Rossville, Ga.

25-005578 – 4000 BLK S Terrace – Pedestrian Struck
Police responded to the report of a female driver being struck by her own vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and determined the driver failed to put the vehicle in park before exiting the vehicle. The driver was struck by the door and dragged to the ground resulting in multiple injuries. The party was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

25-005581 – 5300 BLK Spriggs Street – Disorder / Assist Other Agency / Arrest
Police responded to a disorder outside a residence. Officers determined that two parties engaged in a mutual fight prior to police arrival. Officers were able to de-escalate the situation with one party; however, the other remained uncooperative and created an additional disorder. Police found that she had two active warrants through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. She was taken into custody, charged with Disorderly Conduct, and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

25-005582 – 5300 BLK Spriggs Street – Theft from Vehicle
During a Disorder at this residence, a woman told Police that approximately $100 and a Taurus 9mm handgun were stolen from her white Chevrolet Malibu. Police located the Taurus 9mm and returned it to her. A Smith & Wesson 22 caliber revolver was also located outside the residence, but no one claimed ownership. The handgun was placed into Property and Evidence pending further investigation.
