Free Gardening Workshop Set For Aug. 11

A free gardening workshop will take place on Monday, Aug. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the South Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4605 Redlands Dr.

Allan Kennedy, who has been gardening since age five and has operated a 14-acre commercial blackberry farm, will present information on how to grow high nutrient dense food, with large yields and limited garden space.

Prizes will be given throughout the workshop. The workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Register online at southbaysda.org/health.

The gardening workshop is sponsored by the South Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church to encourage community residents to live healthier lives through exercise, plenty of sunshine, spiritual growth, and a vegetarian, plant-based, whole foods diet.
