Bruce Allen Tripp
Bruce Allen Tripp, 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1944, in Chattanooga to the late Russell and Mary Tripp.
Bruce was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1962, and attended Tennessee Tech University. He was a member of Saint Stephens Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He retired in 2008 as a textile supervisor with Collins and Aikman.
Bruce enjoyed working on cars, studying history, and reading and watching Westerns. He was also an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara J. Tripp.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 14 years, Carol H. Tripp; two daughters, Beth Tripp and Deanna (Jerry) Dubberly; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Nathan) Adkisson, Jeremy (Elizabeth) McKeever, Jacob (Kendall) Tripp, and Mackenzie Dubberly; and two great-grandchildren, Makayla Adkisson and Camille Tripp.
The family will receive friends in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 12–3 p.m. and again from 6–8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, at Saint Gerard Catholic Church, 3049 Lafayette Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. 30742. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
