City Council Proposes Amendment On Capital Budget

CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA

A proposed amendment to the City of Chattanooga’s Capital budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026, as more fully described below, will come before the City Council of the City of Chattanooga for first reading on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, during the 3:30 p.m. EDT business meeting, and for second and final reading on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, during the 3:30 p.m. EDT business meeting.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CAPITAL BUDGET ORDINANCE NO. 14240, KNOWN AS “THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 CAPITAL BUDGET,” APPROPRIATING, AUTHORIZING, OR ALLOCATING FUNDS TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 TO INCREASE THE CAPITAL BUDGET BY $13,350,000.00 FROM GENERAL FUND OPERATIONS.

The ordinance readings will take place in the Assembly Room of the John P. Franklin, Sr. City Council Building, located at 1000 Lindsay Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402. Written comments may also be emailed to the City Council at council-clerk@chattanooga.gov.

The above-mentioned business meetings will be recessed meetings and available to view via live stream at https://www.youtube.com/@chattanoogacitycouncil8743. These meetings will also be open to the public and accessible.
