Local Students Graduate From Online High School

Twelve students from Hamilton County graduated from online high school, Tennessee Connections Academy, on Sunday, June 1 at Tennessee State University. The 395-student class moved their tassels from right to left as family and friends cheered them on. Those from Hamilton County include: Landyn Bean, Deysi Cruz Diaz, Hollie Herbert, Kierra Keanaaina, Aria Merriman and Naomi Ragsdale. more

Lookouts Outpitch Smokies In Extra Innings

Starting pitcher Kevin Abel had his best performance of the season Wednesday night leading the Lookouts to a 3-1 victory over the Knoxville Smokies. Abel tossed six innings allowing only one run on five hits with six strikeouts. Reliever Jared Lyons picked up the victory with two shutout innings. Designated hitter Ruben Ibarra had two runs batted in for Chattanooga. The Lookouts and Smokies return to action Thursday night in Knoxville at 7 p.m. more
