I've read and heard a lot of opinions about First Presbyterian Church razing the Medical Arts Building. I can understand how making the decision to do so is conflicting to all parties. First Presbyterian Church outright owns that property and the building on it. First Pres was started in 1840 after two missionaries returned from Oklahoma, after accompanying the Eastern Branch of the Cherokee Nation, banished from their homes, businesses and farms, to be sent on the Trail of Tears ... more

Lookouts Split Doubleheader With Blue Wahoos

A unique doubleheader on Wednesday, which included the Lookouts as home team on the road, provided a tale of two different halves at Blue Wahoos Stadium. The Blue Wahoos clubbed 15 hits and scored 15 runs in a 15-3 rout against the Chattanooga Lookouts in the first game as home team. But they managed just three hits during a 5-2 loss in a second game that was carried over from a June postponement in Chattanooga.
