Signal Mountain Goes Without Tax Increase 4th Straight Year

The new budget for fiscal year 2026 was presented to the Signal Mountain Town Council by Town Manager Matt Justice after two public hearings. It was adopted unanimously. It has been based on the property tax rate of $1.1002 for every $100 in assessed value of the property. That is the rate that Hamilton County set for the town which keeps property tax that is received the same as the year before despite the increase in assessments this year. Lookouts Pitching Falters Again Against Blue Wahoos

For the second consecutive night the Chattanooga Lookouts pitching struggled against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, dropping Wednesday night's game 9-5. Starting pitcher Jose Acuna dropped to 6-5 on the season giving up five earned runs in just three innings. Conversely, Blue Wahoos starter Robby Snelling had his best performance of the season tossing seven scoreless. The Lookouts rallied for five runs in the ninth but it was too little too late.
