Patrick's is located at 4119 Cummings Highway. We visited Patrick's in
recent months and found them to be very reasonably priced. We noticed a
sign in the entrance giving you a different dinner special for each night.

We did notice when we entered that there is a definite smell of smoke - but then this is a sports bar-type restaurant.

As you know, when we visit a restaurant and they mention the words
"homemade" in front of the chili, we always have to give it a try. Same
case here - homemade chili. We both like the chili, which is a little
spicy. Wayne would have liked less tomato chunks, but that didn't bother
me. We did both think the chili ranked right up there at the top of our list and we would both definitely order it again. It came served with
shredded cheese and onions on top.

They also were serving a lunch special of the day which we tried. For $4.95 you could get a meat and three vegetables, including your drink and dessert. We both went with the roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes and squash casserole. Wayne also ordered corn. The roast beef was very good, but the potatoes needed something - they weren't bad, just in need of something. Wayne didn't care for the squash casserole, but I felt it was fair. For dessert we had a choice of coconut cake or strawberry shortcake. We both chose the shortcake, which was good. Wayne doesn't eat anything containing
the word "coconut."

One thing Wayne found that he really liked was the cornbread. He said he
thinks that this is the first cornbread he has eaten in Chattanooga that was not dry. In fact, he emptied the basket of cornbread. Good Grief - this is the South - we are supposed to have good cornbread - is Patrick's the only place in town that knows how?

At night they offer meals such as steak and lobster - so the evening meal is not your regular "sports bar fare."

I must say that our waitress, Heather, was very attentive. She was
constantly filling our drinks and asking if there was anything we needed. She didn't talk much, but she definitely was efficient.

We noticed a stage near the back of the building where they have
entertainment on certain nights. We would definitely recommend the food at
Patrick's.

Hours for Patrick's are Monday through Thursday 6 a.m. until 12 p.m.; Friday and Saturday until 2:30 a.m.; Sunday 12 noon until 10 p.m.

And remember - if you want to make someone happy for Christmas the new
Adventures coupon books are now in with even more coupons - 86 in all - JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS! By using our Adventures book during 2001, Wayne and I have saved $400 that would have been spent out of our own pockets - and we still have coupons that haven't been used yet. To make shopping easier for you this year, we now have credit card capability on the site.
