The OC Supertones, currently on their "Loud and Clear" tour, are scheduled to be in concert at the Lee University Conn Center on Thursday, April 19, at 7 p.m. Lee University is just one stop on their 60-city tour this spring.

The OC Supertones released their newest album, "Loud and Clear," on October 10, 2000, through BEC Recordings/Chordant distribution. This 60-city tour will have several exciting features including a photo booth where attendees can get their photo taken with other concert attendees, and one of the most enjoyable live performance evenings in Christian music.

This tour will also feature Sparrow recording artist, Switchfoot, and Gotee recording artist Reliant K.

"This is going to be an extremely enjoyable tour for anyone who attends," said band manager, David Bahnsen. "We are going to the wall to insure that the venues selected, the unique promotions in each market, the production used by the tour, and every other detail we can think of, come together in a way that makes this tour a blast for promoters, fans, the bands and everyone else."

The members of the Supertones are Tony Terusa on bass, Darren Mettler on trumpet, Matt Morginsky with vocals, Dan Spencer on Trombone, Jason Carson on drums, and Ethan Luck on guitar.

The Supertones' rock edge complements the band's edge, youth-oriented ministry which continues to grow with each album. Without question, the band's ministry has reach. To date, the Supertones have sole more than 700,000 combined copies of "Adventures of the O.C. Supertones," "The Supertones Strike Back," and "Chase the Sun." Their music has been used in everything from professional hockey and basketball games to the MTV Video Music Awards. Moreover, they have been involved with some of the most high profile ministry events in the nation.

Though together for eight years, the fundamental Supertone sound was first defined in 1995. Previously, the band was famous for playing songs from every musical genre, including by not limited to punk, disco, metal, funk, rap, hardcore, and rock balladry. However, the band soon embraced its dub and pop-punk influences to create a diverse yet cohesive high energy sound which made their 1996 debut, "Adventures of the OC Supertones," an instant smash with over a hundred thousand records sold. Then in 1997, the band followed up with "The Supertones Strike Back," which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Heat Seekers, and went on to sell more than 300,000 records.

Ticket prices are $12 in advance, $15 at the door, or $10 for groups of 15 or more. Tickets are available at Lee University, Pathway Bookstore, White Wing Bookstore, or on the web at www.itickets.com. You can also purchase tickets by phone by calling 1-800-965-9324.
