Terry Ray Gordon Sr., 40, of Soddy-Daisy died Monday, July 16, 2001, at his residence.

Mr. Gordy was a native of Rossville, member of the First Baptist Church of Soddy-Daisy and a professional wrestler for 24 years under many associations. He was known as "Terry Bam Bam" of the Fabulous Freebirds.

Survivors include his son, Terry Ray Gordy Jr. of East Ridge; two daughters, Miranda Gordy and Amber Gordy of Ringgold; one sister, Marsheena Aslinger of Soddy-Daisy; parents, Billy and Mildred Gordy of Rossville; one nephew, Richard Aslinger; and one niece, Candace Sutton, both of Soddy-Daisy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, at 11 a.m. in the chapel with the Revs. Mike Gregg and Richard Hutchison officiating.

Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Rossville.
