2003 USA Baseball Olympic Qualifying Team Official Roster Announced

USA Baseball -- in coordination with Major League Baseball -- Wednesday announced the roster of 24 professional players who will represent the United States on the Olympic Qualifying Team that will be managed by Frank Robinson at the Athens Summer Olympic Games Baseball Qualifying Tournament for the Americas in Panama City, Panama, October 30 - November 10.

The final roster includes 10 players with Major League experience, five former first-round picks from Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft, and 10 players that have played for USA Baseball in the past, including a pair of Olympic gold medalists from Sydney in 2000.

Team USA wrapped up play at the team trials in Phoenix, Arizona with a 10-3-1 record that included a 9-3 mark against Arizona Fall League competition, and a 1-0-1 mark in a pair of exhibition games vs. Team Canada.
