James Phillip Cole, 18, of Hixson, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003.
Phillip was a 2003 graduate of Baylor School. At the time of his death, he was a student at the University of the South and was a member of the school's football team. Phillip was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Brandi Elizabeth Cole; grandparents, Kenneth D. and Bernice Durham Harris, and Leslie James Cole.
Phillip is survived by his parents, Carol and Larry Cole; two sisters, Kadi Elaine Cole, and Natalie Elizabeth Cole; grandparents, Edria Cole, and Margaret Harris; aunts and uncles, Patti and Chuck Chambers, Julia and James Rose, John and Linda Harris; cousins, Leslie Bryan, Candace and Zachary Rose, Jay and Chris Chambers, and Cole and Hesper Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Baylor School Alumni Chapel with Rev. Randy Martin and Greg Wright officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
