The Chattanooga Steam (2-4) plays the Nashville Storm (6-0) this Saturday night at 7 p.m.
The Steam has made some internal changes with the promotion of Jeff Ellis to Assistant General Manager and Robert Thomas to Assistant Head Coach. Ellis played for the Chattanooga Cowboys and the Chattanooga Blues and Thomas played for Carson-Newman College and the Washington Redskins.
The Steam has also added five new players to their roster to help add depth in positions where injuries had key players on injured reserve.
Tracey L. Rico, a 37-year-old 5'10", 315 pound lineman who played for Boyd-Buchanan and UTC will join Randy Raines, a 23-year-old, 6'2", 280 pound lineman who played for Dade County High School on the Steam offensive line.
Ronnie Walker, a 30-year-old, 6'2", 260 pound lineman from Manchester, Tenn. who played for Parklane Academy in Mississippi was signed along with Rodney Westmoreland, 6'0" 220 tight end who played for the Chattanooga Blues and the Dalton Tigers before joning the Steam.
The Steam also signed Billy Joe Breazeale who played for Chattanooga Central High School, Breazeale is a 5'10", 150 pound wide receiver.
The Steam will be debuting their new cheerleading squad at Saturday's game which will be performing during the pre-game and at half time. The team introduction fireworks will be provided by Hall Vending and will start at 7 p.m.
