Chattanooga’s first and only interactive poetry group, Rhyme-N-Chatt, will be holding itsr annual, one of a kind poetic extravaganza.
It will be Saturday, Aug. 7. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the contest begins at 7 p.m. at 1307 Dodds Ave.
Local poets will compete in Chattanooga’s only three style poetry contest for various prizes.
The three categories are:
Traditional –Poets are judged primarily on content, not stage presence or performance or delivery
Performance- Poets may incorporate music, costumes, dance etc. to illustrate their poems.
Freestyle- Poets will create a poem by being given a word from the judges and asked to perform a poem spontaneously, based on that word.
