Dr. Harold Cloogman, DDS, died Thursday, April 7, 2005, in Blount County, Tn., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was a prominent Knoxville dentist.
Born in Chattanooga on March 12, 1922, he was a son of the late Nathan and Goldie Katchen Cloogman. He was a graduate of Chattanooga High School. He received his DDS degree from the UT College of Dentistry, Memphis, and an agricultural degree from University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He was a member of the American Dental Society and a highly decorated U.S. veteran of World War II. He had been a dentist in the Knoxville area for more than 55 years. He was a member of B’Nai Zion Congregation.
His survivors are Doris Marsh and family, Jerry Snoderly and family and Fred Bury and family, all of Louisville, Tenn.
Graveside funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in B’Nai Zion Cemetery with Rabbi Josef Davidson officiating.
