The marriage of Miss Gina Marie Aluise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Joseph Aluise of Chapel Hill, N.C., to John Timothy Mitch, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John Timothy Mitch of Baton Rouge, La., formerly of Jackson, Miss., took place Saturday July 29, 2006 at Saint Thomas More Church in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Rev. John Durbin officiated at the ceremony.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Goff Beavers of Chapel Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Albert Aluise of Huntington, West Virginia. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Evans Mitch of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Dorothy Cronin Bragg of Laguana Woods, California and the late Stephen Charles Hess of Baltimore, Md.

Mrs. Rhonda Kalifey Aluise of New Orleans and Mrs. Penelope Love Aluise of Charlotte, N.C., were their sister-in-law’s matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Katherine Mitch Stanley of Corinth, Miss., sister of the groom, Miss Caroline Carlton Adair of Chapel Hill, Miss Elizabeth Acry Jordan of New York, New York, Mrs. Megan Jane Kiefner of Norfolk, Va., Miss Emily Elizabeth Kneece of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Lisa Marie Leahy of Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Suzanne Leaman Vandervelde of Washington, D.C. Flower girls were Miss Anna Katherine Aluise and Miss Ella Kaye Aluise of New Orleans, both nieces of the bride.

John Timothy Mitch was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Albert Aluise of New Orleans and Edward John Aluise of Charlotte, both brothers of the bride, John Clayton Stanley of Corinth, Miss., brother-in-law of the groom, Jan Malcolm Jones III and James Courtney Michau, both of Jacksonville, Fla., William Alexander McKnight of Chattanooga, Paul Carter Russell of Boston, Mass., and Daniel Lee Singletary, Jr. of Black Mountain, N.C. Charles Love Aluise of Charlotte, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Readers were Mrs. Rebecca Michele Henrich, cousin of the bride, Steven Bernard Lowe, and Miss Julie Anne Kolzet. Miss Katherine Hays Kiefner and Mrs. Alison Marie Varley were program attendants.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at the Fearrington House. The wedding reception was held at the Carolina Inn.

After a honeymoon in Anguilla, the couple will reside in Chattanooga.
