Ten women will be in the Scenic City this weekend to compete in four local Miss America preliminaries sponsored by the Hamilton County Scholarship Association.
On Saturday evening beginning at 7, the 2008 Misses Hamilton County and Tennessee Valley Pageant will be held at the C.C. Bond Theatre located at Chattanooga State on Amnicola Highway.
The two-day event will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the Misses Chattanooga and Southeast Tennessee Pageant starting at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $10 each on both days.
WRCB weekend news anchor Greg Glover will serve as master of ceremonies.
The women will compete in talent, swimsuit and evening wear. Each contestant will also have a 10-minute private interview with the judges panel.
The four new titleholders will represent the area at the 2008 Miss Tennessee Pageant next June in Jackson.

Tiffany Sherrell 21, Middle Tennessee State University, vocal

Ashley Stover, 19, East Tennessee State University, vocal
Special guests will include the four outgoing titleholders – Miss Chattanooga Bobbie Marie Gregg, Miss Hamilton County Ansley Reagan, Miss Southeast Tennessee Stefanie Wittler and Miss Tennessee Valley Danielle Colburn.
