Four members of a gay rights group were arrested on the campus of Covenant College Monday.
The group Soulforce announced earlier it planned to stop off at the local Christian college to discuss the college's stance on homosexuality.
College officials said they had invited members of the group to the campus under certain conditions, but the group would not agree to those terms.
The arrests were made after about 26 members of the group dialogued with a number of Covenant students on public property for several hours.
Those taken to jail are charged with criminal trespass.
Soulforce is on a nationwide tour of colleges with policies on homosexuality it considers discriminatory.
The college is located in Dade County, Ga.
