Brenda Lee Brooks, 62, of Rossville, died on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at her residence.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where she had been a den leader for the Cub Scouts in Hixson, a bookkeeper for K-Mart on Highway 58, and a member of the East Brainerd Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie Burton and Dorthy Vaughn and grandparents, Charlie and Elizabeth Nail.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Brooks; four children, Mike Defriese, Missy Smith, David Witt, and Cathy O’Neal; sister, Barbara Payne; brother, Dean Cofer (Linda); twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three nephews; two nieces; and two great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the East Brainerd Church of God with Reverend Harold Swaggerty and Reverend Donnie Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
