Virginia Fugate
Virginia Fugate, 72, of Hixson, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.
Virginia was a native of Yazoo City, Ms., and was a 1954 graduate of Yazoo City High School. She has been a resident of the Chattanooga area since 1954.
Virginia retired from Chapman Drugs as was an active member of the Pharmaceutical Auxiliary. She was an avid golf player and member of Creeks Bend Golf and Country Club.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bubba Trammell.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Terrell Fugate, Sr.; a son, Rev. Terry Fugate and his wife, Kathryn; granddaughter, Alexandra Fugate; brother, Paul Trammell and his wife Diane; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Ascension Lutheran Church, 720 S. Germantown Road, East Ridge, with Rev. Clay Seneker officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
