Cantrell Dies From Shooting On Green Shanty Road; Trueitt Charged

Two men were found shot at a house on Green Shanty Road near Collegedale on Friday afternoon, and one has now died.

Robert Anthony Cantrell, 24, was pronounced dead at Erlanger Hospital and his body has been transferred to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has obtained an arrest warrant charging Jeremy Trueitt, 22, with homicide in the shooting death of Cantrell.

The call came in to the sheriff's office at 2:24 p.m. of an incident at 4727 Green Shanty Road.

The first deputy on the scene found a man down at the back of the house.

He also found a man who was trying to leave the residence.

Both men had bullet wounds and both were taken to Erlanger.

Authorities said neither man lived at the residence.
