Marga Schejbal
Marga Hildegard Kramer Schejbal, 87, of Chattanooga, devoted wife of Thomas M. McLaren, died on Monday, March 2, 2009.
Marga was born on May 31, 1921 in Dresden, Germany, where she went to Primary School. She and her younger brother, Christian were caught in the allied bombing of Dresden in April of 1945. Marga was a graduate of Heidelberg University in Germany before moving to the United States.
She was employed with R.H. Donnelly which is an affiliate of Dunn and Bradstreet in New York City, retiring as Marketing Manager in the Southeast. Marga was an expert downhill skier, traveling throughout the world.
She and her husband Thomas have traveled to over 40 countries together. Marga had been a resident of the Hixson area for the past six years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Schejbal; her parents, Rudolph and Roth Albma Kramer and a brother, Christian Kramer.
Marga is survived by her husband of 25 years, Thomas M. McLaren; two stepchildren, Dr. Thomas R. (Diane) McLaren and Mark Lee McLaren; three step-grandchildren.
A celebration for Marga will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. C.K. Little Jr. of Rivermont Presbyterian Church officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the North Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
