Snow began falling in Chattanooga after dark. The ground was covered downtown, but the roads remained mainly clear.
Roy Exum on Lookout Mountain reported at 4 a.m.: "We have about an inch on Lookout, under clearing skies. Shouldn't be more than slushy at dawn but slick until afternoon temps, in the 40s, will do away with it. Roads are passable with care."
