Virginia M. Fehn, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012.

Virginia was born in Highland Park, Michigan and was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area.  She and her late husband “Al” met at a USO dance in Detroit.  Virginia was an elder at Northside Presbyterian Church, a member of the Archer Sunday School Class and was active in the quilters circle at the church.

Virginia was past president of the Chattanooga Jaycettes, past president of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, past president of North Chattanooga Book Club and served as a den mother in the Cub Scouts.  She worked in many capacities at Fehn’s Restaurant with her late husband and his brother. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Alfred “Al” Fehn; and her parents, William Francis and Daisy Mitchell.

Virginia is survived by her children,  Bruce (Gerry) Fehn of Houston, Texas, Donald (Colleen) Fehn of Chattanooga / Dayton and Bill (Debbie) Fehn of Homosassa, Florida; grandchildren, David (Megan) Fehn  and Michael Fehn both of Houston and Lauren Fehn of Chattanooga; siblings, William Francis Mitchell, Joan Barbara Fisher and Geraldine Ruth Isgan;  several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, and 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the North Chapel. 

Services for Virginia will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Ocy. 13, at the funeral home with Reverend Ben Skidmore officiating.  Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Virginia’s name to Northside Presbyterian Church, 923 Mississippi Ave, Chattanooga, Tn. 37405 or to your favorite charity.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
