James Ingram, 63, of East Ridge, died on July 2, 2013.
A native of Cleveland, Mr. Ingram was a longtime resident of Chattanooga and was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the William Blair Post 95 of the American Legion. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Johnnie Ingram.
James was a guiding light for many people and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Above all he loved his Lord Jesus Christ, wife, children and grandchildren.
Survivors are his daughter, Crystal (Jeff) Herpst; son, Jason (Michelle) Ingram; sister, Janet (Joe) Dutto; brother, Alan Ingram; and five grandchildren, Isaac, Meghan, Jameson, Johnathan and Tiffany.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery.
