John Sevier Chapter Sons Of American Revolution Awards Medals To Cadets

The John Sevier Chapter Sons of the American Revolution met for their August meeting at the Holiday Inn at Hamilton Place. The evening began with a standing ovation for Chattanooga’s Medal of Honor recipient, Charles H. Coolidge, a WWII veteran. Accompanying him was his son Lt. Gen. Charles H Coolidge Jr., USAF Retired as the guest speaker.   

The meeting also included awarding several medals to area cadets.  Cadet LT. Krista Burnette received the Chapters Outstanding Cadet medal of the year for her winning the Chapters JROTC competition conducted each year with the local high school JROTC programs.  Also Navy Sea Cadet CPO Ariel Kehoe received the bronze medal for good citizenship. This medal was presented by a Navy league member CDR John Echerd United States Navy Reserve Retired, and a WWII veteran.
