Explosion, Fire Ruins Mobile Home At Sale Creek

An explosion and fire ruined a mobile home at Sale Creek early Sunday morning.

At 4:45 a.m., residents living on Santa Barbara Circle awoke to a loud explosion and immediately called 9-1-1. Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to 1734 Santa Barbara Circle to find a mobile home burned to the ground.

Chief Jimbo Aslinger, Sale Creek VFD, reported the mobile home was vacant and did not have electricity. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Sale Creek VFD.

Fire/police officials will be looking into who owns the property. The mobile home is a total loss and damages are unknown at this time.
